I’m Dieter Höller, the founder of Songbird FX. Usually, I use “we” when writing about my work, but the truth is—it’s just me behind everything. I design, develop, test, and ship every product myself, making sure it meets the highest standards before reaching you.
Cómo empezó todo
I started Songbird FX in 2016 as a side project, releasing the world’s first USB-rechargeable analog guitar pedals. Unfortunately, they weren’t very successful, but I still believed that USB power could be a game-changer for musicians. That’s when I developed the first Birdcord—a USB to 9V voltage converter cable, designed to power 9V guitar pedals anywhere using USB power banks.

Determined to make it work, I quit my day job as an electronics engineer and launched the original Birdcord in March 2018. News outlets and music magazines picked up the story, and thanks to you spreading the word, demand kept rising. Over the years, I’ve expanded the Birdcord lineup with different voltage versions, a more powerful PD-based series, and various adapter cables.
Mi misión
Creo soluciones de alimentación portátiles para que los músicos puedan tocar dondequiera que los busque la inspiración. When I’m not working on Songbird FX, you find me spending time with my family, playing guitar, steering a sailboat, or nurturing my ever-growing fruit tree collection.
