Der Birdcord PD→12V allows you to power your 12V devices via USB Power Delivery (USB PD).
Kompatibilität
With an output current of up to 3A, you can power even your most demanding 12V DC devices, like all 12V Elektron devices (Analog Rytm MKI/MKII, Analog Four MKI/MKII, Octatrack MKII, Analog Drive, Analog Heat MKI/MKII, Digitakt, Digitakt II, Digitone, Digitone Keys, Syntakt), Akai MPC One+, Denon DJ LC6000 Prime / SC Live 4, and more. To power devices that would usually need the Roland PSB-12U power supply, you need to additionally get a 6mm-Adapter. To power a Pioneer Toraiz SP-16 you need to additionally get a 5mm-Adapter.

Wie funktioniert es?
Der Birdcord PD→12V nutzt den neuen leistungsstarken Ladestandard USB Power Delivery (PD). Es kommuniziert mit der USB-PD-Powerbank (oder dem USB-PD-Netzteil), um die gewünschte Ausgangsspannung auszuhandeln. Die Spannungswandlung findet dann in der PD-Powerbank statt.

Polarität: innen positiv
Eingangsstecker: USB-C-Buchse
Ausgangsstecker: DC 5.5 x 2.5 mm (passt meist auch in 5.5 x 2.1 mm DC-Buchsen. Falls nicht, nimm dieser Adapter)
Wichtig
Requires a USB PD power bank or wall charger that supports 12V output voltage, for example: INIU 65W 20000mAh PD
Vergiss nicht, ein USB-C-Kabel falls deine USB-PD-Powerbank keines mitbringt.

I’ve been powering my Yamaha Reface CP for some time now from an Anker power bank on my desk. It saves me having to fiddle around with unplugging stuff just to change batteries, plus the power bank lasts longer and charges quicker – less creativity downtime!
Gerät: different Network-Switches
Maybe this is not the use case intended by Dieter but I habe to say that my latest network rack is solely powered by a powerful USB PD power brick and the switches and other components get there power via Birdcord cables. For me it is a perfect solution as the whole rack now runs with a single efficient powerbrick instead of 5 different with three different voltages.

Such a tiny but incredibly useful bit of kit – I use it for every gig with the Chirper, and now with the Endophines Evil Pet.
I’ve been using an Anker nano PD powerbank which lasts for 7 or 8 hours, not that my performances last that long!

It’s doing exactly what it’s supposed to – eliminates the need for stock power adapter.
I always feel mildly irritated with stock power adapters for electronic pianos. They are bulky, fit into the power strip awkwardly, often are rather flimsy. Meanwhile I have an excess of usb-c and high-power chargers lying around the house, and they would power the piano just fine if not for the piano’s power connector.
This little device bridges that gap. It works with a power bank too. I’m not taking my piano outside, but it was a nice to have that little trick when we had a power outage a couple of times.
I bought this so I could power my Elektron box while on travels and it has worked perfectly. I really like that it’s really small and takes up almost no space in your bag and the little pouch you get with it is great to have to keep track of it. Highly recommended!
